Mission Statement
Our aim is to provide excellent
care in our high quality accommodation of spacious kennels over short
and long term stays.
Structure
Spatchcock Kennels is a family run business owned by Rod and Penny Maconochie.
We are licensed by the Cotswold District Council in Cirencester, so follow
strict guidelines on accommodation and care. We have 33 double kennels
and 3 for larger numbers or very big dogs. All services, i.e. under floor
heating, hot running water, telephone, credit card and computer facilities
are in place.
Spatchcock Kennels has 4 dedicated employees and extra staff when we are
very busy. They supervise and play with the dogs in groups, which are
carefully selected for their compatibility. Obviously, dogs which prefer
to go out by themselves, or in smaller groups, do so. They can look forward
to three walks
a day. By getting them out and giving them a good time,
ensures they are not
just sitting in their kennels moping!
Meals, as far as possible are served at the times they are used to.
History
Although Rod has been training dogs professionally on the site since the
mid seventies, Spatchcock Kennels was established in its present form
in 1997, and has been growing in reputation ever since. It really is as
our motto says “Where dogs ask to come back”.
